haha..
It was a normal (stressful) day at school.. finishing up online quizzes.. studying for the approaching exams.. all that. Went to school at 11am and finished at 4pm.. after which i went down to the Post office to pay my telephone bills.. and check on 'THE PARCEL!' (which is still nowhere in sight...sigh.... 3 weeks..)
Waited for Hafiz to return home before we made our way to Mikasa @ Karawara at around 6pm to have our dinner~ The place there loOks great (and modern) now~ haha.. haven't been to Mikasa since the place closed for renovation~ The foOd still tastes great and price didn't increase toO~ =)
. now entering Mikasa .Oh, its a place that sells jap foOd~ Not bad lo~ *yuM yuM~
. *yuM Chicken Katsudon .We took a walk around coles after dinner.. see how much the place has changed.. and indeed it looks much nicer now~ They really did a number on the place. We tried to resist.. but in the end we bought some stuff from there~ haha. I got myself a bag of "Redrock Deli" potatoe chips (*yummy Honey Soy Chicken flavour), a pack of Snickers and a box of my fav. Kellogs Nutri-Grain cereal! haha~ =P
Took a slow walk back home thereafter.. the night was cold.. lucky we brought our jackets along. The one thing i love about this place.. is the friendliness of most of the ppl here~ And that point was proven yet again as we walked home - We made way for 2 bikers to ride past us.. on two separate occasions.. and both of them courteously said "thanks mate" as they rode passed. Such "random-friendliness" as i call it, is hard to come by in Sg. Simple acts of gratitude~
But the best part of the day had not even begun~
Reached home around 7-ish~ I put away my stuff nicely.. hung my jacket.. and sat down next to my laptop~ Chatted with my "mei mei" here in perth..
Suddenly.. hafiz knocked on my door and called "brudder?" - I went to the door and guess what? - He was holding a 'Queen Silvia' chocolate cake in his hands! - Candles lit.. Together with the words "Happy Birthday" on it. omG... i was soO shocked and stunned. o.O
It was something that TOTALLY and ABSOLUTELY took mE COMPLETELY by surprise! I mean.. usually u can roughly guess or suspect if ur friends are gonna throw u a surprise.. but this was a total shocker. We ate the cake.. and moments later he popped into his room and back.. holding a bag.. "for you bro." I was like... Holy cow! You even got me a lil' gift?? ..with a card inside as well! =O
And he did all this by himself.. 1 man.. with the help of no other.
. The cake (Oops.. a chunk has been taken already.. lol) .Honestly, a true blue bro~ You really made my day bro~ Seriously appreciate all you did man! whoO~ lol

. This was up on Hafiz's room door! i was surprised! (its usually a "Inside", "Not inside" note) .And soOn after.. my parents called me up to wish me as well~ (on top of the sms which they already sent mE in the morning~). As we talked.. jOannA suddenly msged mE on msn and wished mE toO~ =) Just minutes after.. Faith also msged and wished mE~ ..and then it was VAN the MAN's (ivan) turn! omG.. it was as if they all suddenly remembered and flooded mE. haha~ =P
Awhile later.. winnnnny sms-ed mE and wished mE~ She also said she's gonna organise the dinner for next tuesday~ *sweeeeeet =P And then it was Carine aka Yin Mei~ Wow..
Not to mention.. many also wished mE earlier during the day. (with AnnabellezZ being the lucky one to wish me at the stroke of midnight~ hahaha... =P) - Hey, she said she zhun zhun calculated de.. haha~
Halfway through my phone call with home.. Aaron suddenly appeared in person!! O.O
I mean.. it was already v.late (v.dark) at around 9.30pm.. and he purposely walked all the way from his house 10min away.. to come and wish mE! - with a biFdaY card in hand that read "Express Mail" . hahaha.. My gooDness... it was really kind of him to go all the way out for my biFdaY~ *Thanks bro~!
My my.. it has certainly been a truly satisfying biFdaY (birth-"night" actually lol..) for mE.. even ppl whom i didn't expect to hear from.. did! =)

Garang-ness
It was also a day of wet weather~ Something which is very scarce here in Perth (unlike back home..) during this period. Its the first time since i came back that it's poured. And unfortunately for hafiz and mE.. we were caught in it despite our mini-umbrellas ( which proved useless from the waist down.. =\ )
Furthermore, we had just finished grocery shopping! hahaha.. imagine the two of us.. carrying our back packs with our laptops.. and having to hold an umbrella while lugging bags of groceries~ And the rain was heavy mind u. haha~ Not the best combination indeed.. But nonetheless! We pulled through~! lol~
And for some reason.. while trudging through the merciless rain.. a sense of our ole' "garang-ness" came over us~ i dunno why.. it just happened. Hafiz felt it first.. which then influenced mE as well~ hahaha~ He started saying stuff like "BRING IT ON MAN! IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO???" haha.. and eventually we kept shouting crazy stuff (to no one in particular.. just expressing ourselves) "JUST BRING IT SIA!! HAHAHA" ~ And true enough..*He* did "bring it".. the weather became WORSE! hahaha. The rain pelted down even heavier than before, together with the gushing winds that blew the storm almost 60 degrees towards our bodies~ LoL~
"eh siallah... He really brought it sia.. haha.. see la ur fault!" - we kept saying to one another~ "I think He's punishing us for all the crap we said and all the bad things we've done.." haha~ =P
In the end.. we returned home in a state of highness from all the adrenaline rush flowing through our bodies~ haha~ ...And of coz.. our pants were all wet. >.<" .. which then suddenly hit mE... MY HP AND IPOD~!!! *Noooooooooooooooooooo~ Upon entering my room, i quickly swooped into my pockets and took them out... *phew.. safe.

300
This tale speaks of the Spartans - A great race whom were believed to be direct descendants of Hercules. Thus, their incredible strength and spartan pride~ Sparta was one of the cities of southern Greece and home to this great group of people.
The story unfolds at around 479BC.. where the Persian empire was at its peak and a terrible force to be reckoned with. Thus, it began to scour the lands and wanted to invade Greece.. getting its cities to recognise King Xerxes as their God and ruler. However, the Spartans were unfazed by the threats of King Xerxes.. and were even furious for having their Spartan pride insulted upon. This led King Leonidas (King of Sparta) together with 300 of his best Spartans to go to war with the Persian Army..
. King Leonidas fighting soldiers of the Persian Empire .Thus the title "300" - 300 brave Spartans against a million-strong Persian Army.
King Leonidas believed in a free world.. and that Sparta would bow down and kneel to nobody but themselves. Despite the disapproval of his council-men and of the oracle.. King Leonidas took his best Spartans (those whom already had sons to continue the line) of 300 men to face and defend against the massive horde of Persians. Their (Spartan) strategies were fierce yet tactical.. and their formation seemed impenetrable.. and they were.. until they were eventually overwhelmed and survival was impossible.. I mean... 300 against a million... even though the Spartans were bigger and massive as compared to the smaller Persians.. it was obviously suicidal for the former.. and yet King Leonidas led his men.. Some say he was foolish.. but many say (and i) it was done to inspire others to hang on to what freedom meant.. and may they remember the day when a million Persians feared just a mere handful of 300 Spartans.. and what they stood for~
. Xerxes encouraging Leonidas to surrender .Needless to say.. the 300 Spartans bravely fought to their deaths.. but they did not perish in vain.. for soon after, (inspired by King Leonidas and the 300) a force of 10,000 Spartans and 30,000 other Greek nations joined forces to continue the onslaught against the Persian Army at the famous and deciding Battle of Plataea.
. Fear the 300 .Imagine... if 300 Spartans could cause fear to run throughout the Persians.. what could 10,000 of them do?..
*p.s~ i've changed my blog music to a theme entitled "Return A King" from one of the soundtracks of 300~ I think the emotions it brings is v.apt while reading this post.. especially for those who have seen this film~ *Enjoy~ =)

*Mmm.. waffles.. cream.. syrup.. and BEAN~!
. Beany-Bean .
Went to eat waffles @ GELARE (half-priced Tuesdays~! Large Waffles = AUS$3.00 only~) with Hafiz and caught the movie "Mr Bean's Holiday" as well~ haha.. okie i'll be frank.. the movie isn't as funny as his tv series.. but nonetheless, i didn't expect that much from it so i found it quite enjoyable~ Some parts were hilarious and others taken from previous skits.. which to mE is pretty nice coz u get to re-live some of the past funnies~ haha..
. Looks the same as Sg's.. but a taste full of difference~ haha .
i especially liked the part where he tried to imitate the boy and beg the lady for telephone money at the train station. hahaa~
But what i really liked about the show was how the ending was orchestrated~ I shan't say anything for fear of being a *spoiler* for those who haven't watched it.. but it was just so pleasant and it was quite a gD way of wrapping things up~ :)
The Week Before:
Some notable things occured during the previous week..
For one.. i did not achieve a 100% for last week's Probability Theory lecture test..! Argh.. the horror. lol~ My first 3 tests i did so... but the fourth one seemed a tad confusing for mE... only got 7/10.. sigh.. oh well. Work hard for the rest~! =P
Secondly, my uni had an 'Study Abroad" fair on wednesday.. which meant numerous international universities came.. set up their lil' stalls and promote their uni~ Of which one of them was... haha no surprise.. our very own NTU~ Hmm.. maybe its because the promoter was a guy (and not a gal as seen in many others) coz there were hardly anyone there~ haha.. so saD. I was telling my friend.. "hey.. maybe i should go study abroad in Sg.." and he was like.. "... crazy." Haha.. i'm sure anyone would tell me that~ Oh but i found out if i were to "study abroad" in Sg.. i would have to take 6 units as opposed to my 5 units.. o.O Okie.. no thanks~ lol

On saturday, i went to Cottlesloe Beach with Aaron and Hafiz.. haha.. 3 guys checkin' out the beautiful beachs here.. but it was pretty gD. The weather was great and sunny.. and the ppl aplenty~ Too bad i forgot to take some pics of the beautiful sights.. sorta slipped my mind whilst taking in the beauty of the beach. haha~

*This song has sorta touched mE and grown on mE for the past week or so~ Its the theme song for FF12.. in which i've completed twice b4 i flew back here.. haha~ =X
For those who don't know... i'm quite a hard-core FF fan~ Its not just the gameplay that excites mE.. its more of the individual storyline of each FF game that sparks a distinctive interest in mE~ For me though, i prefer the more 'romantic' plots of FF (my fav. example is that of FF8.. between Rinoa & Squall. lol~) Nonetheless, all the FF stories have been exceptional in their own unique way~ And of coz, i've enjoyed every single one of them since FF7~
p.s: for the pleasure of all of u, i've changed my blog's music track to "Kiss Me Goodbye"~ so you can sing along to the song from the lyrics i've provided... haha~
