Months Passed

Right now, I am going to blatantly ignore the fact that I have been absent for.. oh I don’t know.. almost 2 months? xD

There have been many things which I experienced over the short period.. some v.exhilarating.. others.. well.. not so.. maybe even painful. =O

Some things worth mentioning:

- 1 -

Experienced my first fireworks right in front of me. The new year countdown fireworks display @ the esplanade was spectacularly exhilarating.

You tell yourself everytime you see it on the screen that the feeling has got to be different in person (duh.). Well.. it is! A million times different! And a million times more breathtaking!

You could literally feel the impact on your chest each time a firework explodes into a beautiful mess of sparks and POWERRRR!!! (no wait.. that’s Top Gear. Sorry xD)
Its like grenades exploding in the air and you can feel its shockwave slamming against your chest. =D

I was so mesmerised by it, I couldn’t even be bothered to take pictures of it. xD

Everything is stored in my camera that is called my brain.

For a moment, the HUGEEEEE-arsed crowd that was surrounding us didn’t bother me at all… All eyes and attention were on those shiny, sparkly colours that were filling the Singapore skies.

Saw my ASTON MARTIN prowling the roads of Singapore!!!! WHOO-HOO!!! Who would’ve thought I’d ever see one! Though it wasn’t my absolute-favourite DB9, it was still breath-taking as well~ An orange V8 Vantage it was~ ^_^

I swear that made my day.

On a similar note, during my time back in Sg this holiday, I’ve noticed that more & more supercars are roving around the streets these days. From the oh-so-boring-and-common Porches (all kinds, even the SUV type) to Audi R8’s to Ferrari F430’s (and one that crashed in an accident =\) to Lamborghini Murcielago LP640’s, Gallardo’s, Gallardo Spyders to Z4’s to GT-R’s to Pagani’s to Maserati’s to Lotus’ to Merc SLK’s (sweet) and of coz.. my Aston Martin (only 1 so far).

Heaps of them on the road nowadays.
Which is exactly why my sister and I both agree that travelling on a bus these days can be rather exciting. =D

(“Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get (or SEE on the road!”))

I experienced my first acupuncture treatment.

In a word.. scary. >.<

Sometimes its not that painful (when the doc inserts the needle shallowly) and others its OMG-I’M-BEING-STABBED deep. =X

I know its good for me, it is. But it scares me just thinking of what he’s gonna prod today. :S

And in case some of you are wondering why would I need it? I’m having back problems.. that seem to be getting worse. More specifically, lower back problems. The Chinese physician said partly its coz I’m too tall.. which is true.

But I think its also coz whilst I’m tall, I also don’t have a very strong & sturdy body to properly support the frame.

And through bad sitting postures for 23 years, no doubt.

In addition, I’m also getting help from Felicia. Teaching me how to do proper stretching and strength exercises for my core muscles. She’s my physiotherapist.

PLS GET BETTER.
>.<

Buying my mother’s Christmas gift was quite an interesting one as well. We (sister and mE) had decided to get a pendant for her.. seeing as how she lost one of her precious ones. So we headed over to Parkway Parade and visited every jewellery shop there was.

The interesting bit happened when we stepped into the posh ones. The moment you ask for a diamond pendant.. they ask “solitaire?” and you say “erm.. ya” *BOOOOM* - They hand you all the uber expensive solitaire pieces that can amount to 2 or more laptops! =O

The best part is.. once you sit down.. You suddenly feel this immense pressure building.. subtly flattening your body and PRIDE (ie: spending power). To top it off, they start offering you tea in lil’ classy tea cups.. and then the pressure suddenly feels 10 fold.

To me, it SEEMS like the tea signifies..

“Hey, this person is gonna buy something.. and its gonna be EXPENSIVE.” LOL >.<

Don’t get me wrong. Not all of them actually pressurise you into buying their products. Its just you – feeling small and insignificant.. amidst all the tiny little precious treasures. =X

Alas, we decided upon a lovely solitaire pendant from Citigems. It took us longggg to decide between two types. In the end, we went for the tinier (but more costly =X) solitaire pendant.

Erm… it was still costly.. I won’t say how much.. but at least it was more affordable than the other triple zero companions. =S

Apart from the pendant, they also presented us with a certificate for the pendant (which apparently costs S$80 – but we got it for free of course) as well as a cool cylindrical magnifying glass that is used to zoom in on a diamond and check out its elaborate cutting. =O

Sweet.

All in all, it was a good day of shopping for presents.

- 5 -

Had my first REAL KTV session with the fellas about 4 weeks ago. I say “Real” because erm… we did other “impromptu” ones.. somewhere (and anywhere) before. Lol~

The combo package included a $2 dinner buffet . Yes, you heard me right - $2. lol.
Needless to say, we expected $2 style food.. like stale bread and a teaspoon of water..

But NO!

By all that is holy, we were presented with a huge spread of Japanese food! (which included sashimi and stuff!) :O :O

Naturally, we gouged ourselves with the yummy food, whilst belching out on our microphones. I think the highlight of the night was when we all sang “peng you” together.
Yoke volunteered to take the video whilst we sang.. and I would love to post it up here..
But I’m afraid I would get assassinated by the organization known as the “Coknicles” (or 39 Alpha 1)

xD

A pity we didn’t prepare a list of songs beforehand. So we spent quite some time selecting songs. No worries, the next will be better.

- 6 -

Took a trip on the Singapore Flyer with the family during one of the lovely Sundays. Mother had some free tix from somewhere and the four of us spent 30 min up in the air~
Admiring the beautiful scenery surrounding us.

Thank goD the wheel didn’t stop during our trip! (though it might be quite fun climbing down a rope from the carriages.. =X ) – For those who are not in the know, the Singapore Flyer malfunctioned and stopped about 2 weeks ago.. and some passengers had to rappel down ropes. =X

Last but not least – Ip Man. Epic movie.
A movie I love so much, I want to SEE IT AGAIN IN THE CINEMA!

.. and I DID!! Muahahaha!!

I’ve decided to do a separate post for this movie. =D
