Some random blogging

My 2 months of internship at Squire Mech (engineering consultancy firm) in Singapore was a rather pleasant one for me.

It was during my Dec '08 to Feb '09 summer break.

I must say, I did learn quite alot from my short but fruitful stint at the company.
Not only did I gain valuable insight into how an engineering consultancy works, but I've fostered new friendships with some of my dear colleagues as well.

Like they say, getting ahead in the office means knowing what you're supposed to do as well as knowing who you're doing it with (erm.. work-related. yes. work.).
xD

But joke aside, this group of young engineers made my stay a rather pleasant one.
One where I felt comfortable working in.. getting tips from them.. learning how to play the game etc.

I remember during my first day at work, after doing all the inital paperwork, I was expecting to be sorta "left alone" and not cared by others (coz they were all v.busy). Instead, I got an invitation to join a group of them young engineers for lunch. I remembered it was Qi Xiang who kinda broke the ice..

"Eh, 去吃了. Lunch time liao."

haha

Over the course of the 2 months, I slowly got to know about more of them around me.
And I made a rather interesting observation.
Of the 8 or so colleagues that I knew.. only 2 or 3 of them were actually Singaporeans.
The rest were either malaysians, indonesians or chinese. Which was rather intriguing.. seeing as how I could not tell some of them apart.

Nevertheless, they were all a bunch of nice and caring people.

Last day at office. Too bad the rest weren't around by then.

Was glad I had a chance to have a nice farewell dinner with them just before I flew off.

L-R: Qi Xiang . Chee Kai . Sarah . Lydia . Valery . Evan

Will certainly miss 'em all.
Hopefully I'll be able to work with some of them in future or just meet up every now and then.

Moving on..

There are quite a few movies to REALLY look forward to this year! =DD

To name a few:

Terminator Salvation

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

.. On the other hand, there are some movies which are just a complete waste of time and resources.
Quite simply, they will probably be utter rubbish.

Again, to name a few:

Dragonball Evolution

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li

.. oh and did I mention "Dragonball Evolution"?
I think I did.. but anyway, no harm listing it again..

(!DO NOT WATCH!)
DRAGONBALLZZZ EVOLUTIONZZZ

There. That's better.

Speaking of Street Fighter, I've always been a fan of the video game. And though the first movie of it was abit lame-ish. I still found it rather nice.
(Kudos to the late bison-actor, Raúl Juliá. He was a great actor)

This time however, the new movie doesn't seem to excite me as much as I had hoped (at all?)

The ONLY reason why I would even consider watching this movie is simply because my dear Kristin Kreuk is acting in it. And she's the main protagonist as well.

To me, she is the persona of all that is holy and beautiful in this world we call the entertainment industry.

I mean sure, you have your Jessica Albas and your Megan Foxes. I don't deny their hotness & sexiness.. bla bla. But seriously, any artiste these days can be "sexy" and "hot".
But Kristin Kreuk is in a whole different league.
She may not be uber sexy, but that's because she is exquisitely beautiful.
She's someone whom you look at and think, "Ah, now that's a picture perfect look"

And that is hard to come by.
She is simply the epitome of beauty and elegance.

If heaven had angels, she would be the queen of them all.
And if I were lucky enough to go up above, I would like her to be the one receiving me. =D

Heaven is indeed a place on earth.
(.. sometimes.. probably.. perhaps.. if I do see her.)

My idea of perfect heaven is having Kristin in a DB9 with mE.
Cruisin' along the highroads to nowhere.

When two beauties of perfection & elegance meet, it can only get even better.
Because "+" and another "+" still gives you a "+"

.. And I'm beginning to make no sense..

Anywho, in case some of you are wondering..
"Hang on, what happened to your Mika??? HUH??"

No, I've not forgotten nor left her behind.
She is still v.much with me.

Let's just say,
Kristin is to a DB9, as Mika is to a GT-R R35.
=)

Both are goddesses to me and both make my world feel like a fresh clean crisp of lettuce in my sandwich.
*Mmm! Mmm!
