Pre-departure
My last post before i head back..
Went to see the cardiologist on tuesday morning with mum~ It was not planned... I was abruptly awakened by my mum @ 8.45am telling mE that she had placed an appointment with Dr. Koo in the morning. I dragged my dead 186 length out of bed and we headed to Gleneagles Hospital.
They took an "ECHO" (something like ultra-sound) and ECG scan on my heart. Its like those machines where doctors use on pregnant women to allow them to see their womb and the baby inside. So I could see my HEART~! Rather than freak out or something (as for some ppl).. I actually found it quite interesting to see ur heart pumping.
The lady doing it told mE my heart seemed normal.. the valves (which i could see opening/closing) were normal.. and my aorta was fine~ Apparently, most problems come from those two parts. She also said the walls of the arteries of my heart were 'thin'.. ie to say.. can eat more fats! LoL~
Went to see Dr. Koo shortly and he explained how cardiologists like himself always are fearful of "tall people" like myself.. coz we are "at a higher risk" of having heart related problems than others. Most problems come from either the malfunction of the heart valve.. or inflammation of the aorta~ Needless to say.. either of which poses serious consequences. So he was glad that my heart seemed normal.
Of coz.. I'm glad toO.
But I still feel a slight ache around the heart area... I feel its most probably due to the run I had last friday... really over-exerted myself.. esp when it was my first real run in weeks. =\
Well.. hopefully all is well~ Will monitor and see how it goes..
On a lighter note.. I went to catch The Simpsons Movie with some of the guys yesterday. Haha.. its a really funny movie.. I recommend it to u guys. Of coz.. there are some lame parts.. but still those were funny as well. haha~ And while on the train back home from Cityhall.. guess who I bumped into? - Peggy. haha.
She came to Singapore for a holiday.. and we were suppose to meet. But we couldn't in the end coz either she or evette was busy... and so it was by a stroke of luck.. and fate.. that we bumped into each other on the train. =)
Today, I met up with jO and yulin for lunch... but it turned out to be more of "tea-break".. coz jO was v.late! *grr.. lol~
. 2 gaLs & a guy .Suppose to meet @ 1pm.. but she came at 1.45pm.. >.<" In the end.. we couldn't eat at Sakura coz the lunch buffet ends @ 2.30pm.. =\ Haha... but it was alright... so we ate at Sakae Sushi @ Heerens instead. Took some pics whilst we were there~ jO insisted she treated us today... although we didn't want her to.. we were just joking~ lol But we made an agreement to eat @ Sakura when I come back in Dec~ =)

Because of today, I managed to meet all the ppl I've wanted to see =) .. less a few ones =\ I'll make sure I meet them next time~
Airport in another 7 hrs.. 30,000 feet in 9 hrs..
