~ sn0w ice ~
Dear mE.. the work is piling up.. the recurring stresses coming to light once more.. and yet my whole being is still not in the 'zone'.. my minD is still someplace else.. not putting its entire focus on the academics. It seems like he is preoccupied with other matters.. matters which take up time.. not necessarily in the literal sense.. but certainly of others~
Haha.. anyway.. on a more lighter side of things.. I had an enjoyable Saturday evening with fizZ and two other Singaporean friends whom he got to know last sem ~ Yilin and Radha. He is like a "mentor" to them coz he was the one who gave them their 'pre-departure' briefing @ Hui & Kwah. What is a "pre-departure" briefing one might ask? - Well.. its basically like a get-together where new students (aka n00bs.. lol) going to a foreign university will (through their agent) meet up with a senior (someone who is currently studying in that uni) and ask him questions or any queries pertaining to the uni or just the lifestyle there in general~
And well.. it was through there that he got to know the two gaLs~ Yilin is studying Psychology (which I myself almost delved into in the past..) and it's her 1st year so far.. another 3 for her. Radha is doing Accountancy and doing her final year already.. which makes this sem her last one... Lucky.. lol
Well anyway.. the 4 of us met up for dinner on Saturday. We had planned to chow at Sizzlers.. but when we got there at 7.. the queue was literally "spilling out of the entrance.. strewn all over the place!" hahaha.. Even I was shocked at the length of it.. o.O"
So.. after much deliberation.. and of coz.. with the help of Bido (whom I called I think about 5-6 times that night lol) we managed to locate "Concas" at Vic Park and could finally settle down for dinner! The place is famous for its chilli mussels (supposedly the "Best Chilli Mussels") and so we naturally ordered a big bowl of that.. (which came with some garlic bread toO.. *yuM).. plus 2 large pizZas - Mariana (seafood) and Vegetarian (coz Radha is somewhat a vegan)~ And by-golly was it DELICIOUS~! ALL OF IT~! It really lives up to its name of "The Best Chilli Mussels"~ haha.. *Mmmm... =D~~
As usual.. I was soO hungry (we all were) that I forgot to take pics of the place and foOd.. =\
lol..
The meal was so satisfying we just bummed around and talked about many things after that.. Mostly Singaporean stuff.. esp since it was their first year in Perth. Also talked about fun places that we could go to.. etc~
. penGuin .
Finally.. we decided to get some nice desserts.. which brought us to a place in Northbridge called "sn0w ice" (or "Icey Ice" as peGgy calls it). This place sells the most unique "ice-kacang" ever.. Well it is actually FAR from the plain ole' ordinary ice-kacang... in fact.. what the hell am I saying.. its not even close. lol~
. Yilin & Radha's strawberry flavoured .
. close-up shot: Can you see the miraculous layers?? =O .
The shop sells this dessert which is made from shaved ice.. but its shaved in such a way that its literally in "layers" that don't even loOk like ice at all~! And when you taste it.. it tastes almost like ice-cream.. but its actually flavoured ice~! hahaha..
. Icey Chocy - omG.. chocolate flavoured~ I made the right choice. =D~~ lol~ .
I immediately fell in love with it and for a moment.. I could not believe such things existed.. haha. Apparently there's one in Singapore as well.. and it all originated from Taiwan.
I'm so thankful Yilin recommended the place to us~ haha thanks~ =D
. Radha , Yilin , fizZ .
(where's the Jap?? lol..)
Oh yes! Another thing happened while we were there..
We decided to take a pic together.. so we grabbed one of the waitresses and I was teaching her how to use my HP. We posed.. but she accidentally closed the camera function which brought her back to the main screen.. and when I went over to help her.. she looked at my wallpaper and said to mE.. "You like her toO?" .. O.O .. SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT MY MIKA~!! OMG. I HAD FOUND ANOTHER FAN~!! WHOO-HOO! I could not believe what I was hearing and was very stunned after that. I mean... its not everyday where you get to meet someone in a foreign land (esp an ANG MOH one) who likes ur Japanese idol as well~ *wheeEeee~
Haha.. but granted.. she did loOk kinda Jap actually.. hahaha. In fact.. I'm pretty sure she is~ haha.. short.. kawaii jap-style. lol~
Indeed it was a very enjoyable and "enlightening" evening for mE.. haha~
