First Job . First Exp . First Pay
I've been wanting to blog about Yanyin's 21st biFdaY celebrations which toOk place last Saturday.. but have yet to receive any of the pics~! arGhhh... lol~

So I shall delay that post for now~
In the meantime.. some updates~
Just ended my month-long vacation job at International Press Softcom (IPS) just 2 days ago~ I know some of you are wondering... o.O? I've never heard of that company before toO.. but it is kinda big~ For starters.. it's a listed company.
Anyways.. I managed to get a spot working as a HR assistant through one of my uncles who is the VP for corporate business development~ So i guess... lucky mE?
And I finally got my first pay-check~ whoO~ First job.. first pay-check~ Not toO bad for starters I would say.
Its amazing how one can foster such close bonds with your colleagues despite spending only a month there~ Lynette.. Nanette.. Eunice.. Mr. Sng.. Vanessa.. Mr. Michael Tan (my boss)~ Most of whom are parents with young children. And its nice to hear them talk about taking care of their young etc..
Lynette resembles one of my cousins.. whilst Nanette just seems so cute for her age, talking about her young kids and just her character.. the way she speaks~
Furthermore.. what kinda surprised mE was.. they invited mE to join them for "loh-hei" somewhere the week after~ I mean.. I've only been there a month.. and yet they treat mE like "family" in a sense. I suppose one thing gD about my department is that there doesn't seem to be any grisly office politics~ Everyone is genuinely friendly and kind to one another~
Having said that though.. our boss can be quite a temperamental fellow~ I've experienced my share of seeing him blast Mr. Sng and Vanessa on several occasions~ I guess.. bosses will always be so~
Oh, as for my pay.. I got S$1,714.29 for working from 27th Dec '07 to 31st Jan '08~ That amounts to 1 month 2 days of work? I reckon that's not toO bad for my first job~
To be honest.. I was working more for the exposure and to pass some of the time.. than the actual pay~ But nonetheless.. I'm happy I got that amount~ =)
Well that ends the chapter on my first job~
Fyi~ I'm flying back on the 16th of Feb.. though semester only starts on the 25th of Feb~ The only reason? heh.. Some of you out there know~ I hope it will account for something~
