Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own

Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own ~ U2

This song is by the best band in the world.. the legendary - U2.
If you listen to the lyrics very carefully.. you'll notice they speak deeply to your heart.. and they mean so much more.

This song was dedicated from Bono (U2 frontman) to his late father (Bob).
He wasn't in harmony with his dad.. and he wrote this song to express his feelings at losing his dad when he never had the chance to make up with him..
I suppose it also serves to remind us not to constantly harbour any ill feelings towards the ones we love.. such that it becomes toO late to say "I'm sorry".. or.. "I love you."

A very touching song that inspires mE always.. teaches us to cherish our loved ones while they're still here... and remember the ones whom we have lost.

Bono's soulful vocals together with The Edge's perfect guitar rifts combine to give this song so much passion and fills it with emotions.

(The bridge at 3:14 holds so much emotions in his singing.. its really fantastic.)

"My Father Bob worked in the Post Office by day and sang opera by night.. he lived on the northside of Dublin in a place called Cedaewood Road..
He had alot of attitude.
He gave some to me - and a voice.
I wish I'd known him better."
~ Bono

I just suddenly remembered this song.. and felt like sharing it here..

And for those who are not in the know.. they are my favourite band.
The only band that truly reaches out to me..
