Words.
Sometimes,
Anger and disappointment takes over a person
So much so that they begin hurting their closest ones with the tang of harsh words like "Despise" and "Hate".
Sometimes,
They are used to convey the message, to portray the image.
But then again,
Sometimes, there are other alternatives to do so.
Other words, subtle words.
Words that would not intentionally claw into the hearts of the ones you care about.. the ones you love.
Such strong words are not meant for friends - especially the best of friends.
The only regret is succumbing to the strew of emotions at the time,
And pen down what transpired into extremely hurtful words.
Words that may have added unnecessary strains onto the hearts and feelings of another.
Though the message was clear,
The consequence was undesired, unintentional.
Despite the words,
Know that deep down
I still care
.. More than you realise.

Gifting
- Gifting -
Helped Yu Sheng (aussie YS, not Esen YS. haha) with Ruff-Ruff's present on Thursday.
And boy was it PAINFUL. =\
Reason being: We had to fold those stars out of THICK shiny-coloured paper that was almost impossible to press and fold-in the edges! >.<"
I literally had to use a pair of scissors to push in the sides..
And even that hurt like hell. lol
In the end, we managed to complete the final product which looked AWESOMESS!!
.. at the cost of a blistered palm and a drained body nevertheless.
Haha. But it was fun helping Sheng out. =)
I think I was more excited about it than he was
=D
P.S: I'm glad Ruff-Ruff liked her present.. otherwise.... ehehehe

And this reminds me of something which I have been dying to get off my chest..
Something also related to gifting.
I've been wanting to do a post on this, but have been v.busy lately.
Its about sending and receiving gifts during special occasions - such as Birthdays.
I've always appreciated gifts from my close ones or anyone.
Whether it be an elaborate and expensive gizmo or just a simple personalised birthday card.
The extent of the gift is not a real issue to me..
What IS important to me is INTENTION.
And by that, I mean the intention of the sender.
It is something that I truly appreciate from a gift.
I absolutely DESPISE and HATE gifts that have no real INTENTION behind it.
Gifts that have NO thought in it.
I can generally tell if a gift has been thought of for 5 mins or 5 hours.
It makes a difference and it can be felt by the receiver aka mE.
I hate it when people send me gifts that were "sent for the sake of sending something", as opposed to "sent because I want to surprise/do something special".
It is especially hurtful and downright disappointing when a fake gift (as I call it) is sent by someone who is close to you - a good friend for example (maybe even a best friend?).
It just tells me that they remembered the occasion (which I'm grateful for) but just thought of something (probably impromptu) to send me that means absolutely NOTHING to me at all.
A meaningless gift.
A gift of no value to me.
How sad is that?
I understand that sometimes people are v.v.busy with their work/studies. So perhaps coming up with a reasonable gift is difficult.
I have no qualms or problems with that at all. It is absolutely fine.
So I would rather not receive anything, than receive something that is useless, means "0" to me, and is hurtful.
I would rather receive a simple personalised birthday card or even an SMS, than a meaningless present. Its that simple.
And to top it off.. if such a gift was not sent by the sender themselves.. but by someone else (whom you probably might dislike)..
.. then that's like shooting me in the ballz and then in the wedding vegetable..
Ouch.
